The state's Fiscal Year 2024 budget includes funding to extend payment to providers based on enrollment for children receiving benefits through the NJ Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) through June 30, 2024.

Previously, attendance data was captured as part of the Child Care Enrollment Study. Beginning in November 2023, recording of child attendance is mandatory for all providers receiving payment through the NJ Division of Family Development (DFD) Child Care Assistance Program.

This means providers will be responsible for recording when a child is absent from their scheduled days of care (normal days they attend). The mandatory recording will start with October 2023 absences (the system records data for the previous month). Additionally, providers are also required to report facility closures, holidays and vacation days. Providers must record these absences and scheduled closure days in the NJ CCAP Attendance Calendar. Providers will access the calendar the same way as they did for the Enrollment Study, through the NJ e-Child Care Provider Web Portal

Providers are required to log into their EPPIC accounts to make sure they can access the NJ CCAP Attendance Calendar.
