CCR&Rs are always by your side – empowering families, uplifting providers, strengthening communities and building brighter futures for New Jersey's children. Every day, CCR&Rs ensure families find affordable, high-quality child care, support providers to grow and thrive so children get the best start in life. Located in every county, CCR&Rs have trained staff to: Help You Understand Your Options If you’re not sure what kind of child care is right for your family, CCR&Rs will explain the different types – like centers, home-based care or preschool programs – and what to look for in a safe, nurturing environment. They can also provide you with a list of available child care options that matches what you're looking for. Connect You to Financial Help CCR&R staff can provide you with information on available programs that can lower your costs, including connecting you to school-based preschool and Head Start as well as providers who have sliding scale fees, scholarships, etc. Support Child Care Providers CCR&Rs assist providers with getting licensed or starting a child care business. This includes provider trainings, workshops, technical assistance, coaching, professional development and shared services to strengthen the quality of programs.
