This course will define child development and Developmentally Appropriate Practice and demonstrate how Early Childhood Educators can use that knowledge to support the children in their care. The goal of this course is to provide an overview of child development and Developmentally Appropriate Practices for children ages birth to five, and how early childcare professionals along with children’s families can support the needs of every unique child. Participants must complete this course prior to enrolling in additional Child Development Series courses.
