This virtual training is facilitated over a video conferencing program. In this 2-day live virtual training session participants will discover how STEAM (science, technology, engineering, the arts, and mathematics) serves as an integrative approach to teaching that allows children to explore, question, research, create, and discover. Participants will examine the many facets of STEAM and explore its connection to the objectives for development and learning. Educators will learn how to integrate science and technology throughout the day and will discover how in-depth, project-based investigations support STEAM learning in the preschool classroom. Participants should have completed Parts 1-4 of The Creative Curriculum for Preschool or Parts 1 and 2 of Family Child Care prior to enrolling in this session.
