Course Description: Primary care is the foundation of this relationship-based framework and supports building a trusting, consistent care relationship.  Primary care is a practice in which the care of each infant or toddler is assigned to one specific infant and toddler teacher who is principally responsible for that child in the care setting. Small group size: The number of children in care; understanding that the younger the child, the smaller the group size must be to support child-caregiver relationships, responsive interactions, and self-regulation.  Small group size and good ratios are key components of quality care.   Small Groups facilitates personalized care, support peaceful exchanges, encourage freedom and protect safety to move/explore develops closer relationships between caregivers and children as well as between children.
